Beneva Woods

Come see why so many want to live in Beneva Woods!

Located in southern Sarasota, Beneva Woods’ location and friendly, neighborly atmosphere might make it one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the county. With many of the homes built in the 1970s, this deed-restricted community features mostly Florida-ranch style houses that vary in square footage, but most often exceed over 2600 square feet. Most yards include ample acreage, and, oftentimes, a swimming pool.

One of the best features of the community—apart from the lovely grounds with numerous, flourishing pine trees that shade the streets of the neighborhood—is its proximity to all of the great recreation available in Sarasota. Only a short drive to the Sarasota Square Mall, residents have endless shops to explore, including Macy’s, JCPenney’s, and Costco. Another great option for both shopping and dining alike is downtown Sarasota. After purchasing one-of-a-kind homes, make sure to stop by some of the fantastic restaurants in downtown. If you are looking for a quick casual but healthy bite to eat, try the café in Whole Foods, or treat yourself to a delicious Italian meal at Café Amici.

For the golf enthusiast, there are many renowned country clubs and stimulating golf courses nearby. For an outing with the whole family or a hiking partner, Red Bug Slough, only a short walk away, is a 72-acre nature preserve where you can experience almost-untouched Florida habitats where you might happen upon a number of native species including otters, marsh rabbits and grey squirrels. Several miles are dedicated solely to hikers. Red Bug Slough is the perfect place to take the opportunity to take a long hike or a leisurely bicycle ride and experience Florida’s past through its native landscape. Other fun features of the park include a fishing pier, a butterfly garden, playground and picnic areas to enjoy with the whole family.
