University Place

University Place offers an active social life and a myriad of great amenities!

University Place is a gated community that holds approximately 400 homes built in the early 2000s. Located close to both Sarasota and Bradenton, this great subdivision allows you the peaceful lifestyle of Bradenton while still offering quick access to the exciting life in Sarasota. However, the grand location of these homes is not the only perk! University Place offers a myriad of amenities including gated security, a lap pool and lagoon-style pool, a community park, nature trails for biking and hiking, recreational buildings, tennis courts, and an updated fitness center. University Place also offers an active social calendar, including one of the favorite annual events, a summer picnic that comes complete with a classic ice cream truck.

For school-age residents, University Place is located in the school district that includes schools such as Robert E. Willis Elementary, Braden River Middle, and Braden River High School. For shopping enthusiasts, the new Mall at University Town Center is just minutes away.

You are also within a short driving distance to Downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key Beach. Downtown Sarasota has a bustling arts and cultural scene as well as sophisticated boutiques and superb dining options. Some must-see attractions in Downtown include the Ringling Museum of Art, Bayfront Park, the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, the Sarasota Opera House, the Florida Studio Theatre, and the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. If you are craving a day on the beach, then head to Sarasota’s stunning Keys for access to a number of beaches. Siesta Key Beach is perhaps the most popular beach in Sarasota. In fact, this beach was ranked one of the top ten beached in the United States multiple times by “Dr. Beach”. If you would like to lounge on a more secluded beach, then check out the stunning beaches of Lido Key and Longboat Key.
